Larsh Mill Pond was one of the first scenic areas. Larsh Mill Pond is named after Barb's son, (Chris), and is based on a small town in Wisconsin. The General Store was modeled after her Grandfather's A&P general store. The mill pond is reminiscent of the logging areas in Northern Wisconsin. You will also notice a British Passenger car sitting on a siding with a "Petworth" sign in the background. Petworth is a small town in Southern England where Barb and Hampton spent a few days at a Bed & Breakfast,. The B&B was an old railway station , with a siding with a passenger car converted into 2 'sleeping' rooms.
Larsh Mill Pond was a busy mill site. Any timber that lay beyond Ferguson Falls was milled at Larsh Mill Pond and shipped off to Williamsburg factories. Don Swinton was the contractor in the saw mill.
The central gathering spot was the general store in most communities. So it is in Larsh Mill Pond, were the general store stood proudly on the main gravel street.
For the tourists, there was always a place to stay near Larsh Mill Pond at Petworth.
